“Small chat” focuses on design and implementation of sustainable and environment friendly outdoor seating furniture that will also function as an image element in an urban park (Fındıklı Park) in Istanbul, and aims to create awareness and draw attention to both public space and the importance of the material and design in maintaining the sustainability of a functional & aesthetic object in public sphere.
The seats were designed and constructed through a DIY workshop organized by Istanbul Technical University, Urban & Regional Planning Department for urban planning and architecture students. Park users also participated in the construction phase of the project.
